Facial Mesotherapy
What is Mesotherapy?
The word mesotherapy quite simply means treatment through directly injecting substances in the sub-cutaneous layers (i.e. under the skin). It is a procedure that was developed in France. Since its inception, a lot of uses have been advocated for this procedure, however we believe that the two most effective uses for this treatment are; to assist with the treatment of cellulite and stubborn fatty deposits (body mesotherapy); and the rejuvenation and revitalisation of the face and upper neck (facial mesotherapy).
What can Facial Mesotherapy be Used for?
Facial mesotherapy can be used either to give the face a more youthful and healthy appearance; and/or to target specific areas of concern such as: fine creases on the face and upper neck, as well as bags and dark circles around the eyes.
It achieves this through two main mechanisms: The physical entry of the needle (the technique we use involves multiple, very superficial injections, more like pin-pricks, all over the face and upper neck using super-fine needles), which stimulates collagen production in the skin. This collagen makes the skin tighter and healthier. In addition, the injected substance (which is a mixture of vitamins, minerals, and hyaluronic acid, the same substance used for dermal fillers) nourishes and revitalises the skin from within.
What Makes us Different?
Your comfort is very important to us and therefore we use the finest needles available on the market for this particular therapy. Furthermore, unlike some practitioners (who use the same technique for body mesotherapy on the face! This causes a lot of pain and a poorer treatment outcome), we use a special injection technique developed specifically for facial mesotherapy, which results in much less discomfort and much better results.
We only use CE marked products of the highest quality, and which are specifically approved for injection mesotherapy.
After the therapy, we apply a gentle soothing and hydrating facial mask. We also apply a layer of sunblock cream to protect your skin before you leave the clinic, so that you can carry on with the rest of your daily activities as normal.
We use our thorough knowledge of anatomy and skin physiology to carefully select each and every injection site, leading to a more desirable outcome.
